I have a 85 C10.My windshield wiper control is with the turn signal switch. I have proper voltage as well as a ground to it. The issue is that when I turn the switch off the blades they dont return to the rest position. Regardless where the wipers are, when I turn the switch off they stay right there. Is it the switch or the motor? Another issue is that the clips that are on the stud that holds the arms to the stud linkage is missing. I guess the previous own broke them off. Any suggestions on the removal of the arms as well? Thanks

Its been a long time since I worked on an 85 but I think the yellow wire on the wiper motor plug is probably not making good contact.. Also make sure the wiper motor has a good ground. You may be able to get a small hook under the arm to hold the catch back for removal?

Image of Wiper Arm Stud ?

I realize its a shot in the dark but, would anybody know where I can get a picture of the wiper arm connection?. I need to see how this clip is suppose to hold the arm to the linkage stud? This way I can see what to grab without damaging the stud? Thanks!!

Are you trying to remove the linkage from the wiper pivot stud or at the motorIf memory serves, the clip at the motor is like what holds a brake line on late model trucks and imports.U shaped, use screw driver to pry out outer part and slide off.As for not going to park it could be the park switch in the motor. If pulse wipers it could be the pulse module.Disconnect pulse module and plug connectors together and if all works then that would be the problem. On my 78 out of the blue it will make 1 sweep since I converted to pulse system
