I just replaced the rear brake shoes and at least one of the drums on my 1980 Big 10. I noticed on my first test drive after completing the brake job that my e-brake light is on.
So whats the deal? Whats causing this, did I forget something, or is my e-brake out of adjustment? Please help.

by replacing the shoes you may need to adjust the e brake. When you have the e brake pedal down dose it stop the truck?
its not a big deal to adjust the cables

Sorry it took me so long to post an update, the E-Brake stopped the pickup (after putting the damned e-brake struts bake in) and after adjusting them abit the light went off. Now jut gotta get the fronts to stop squealing when I hit the brakes and Ill be good.
