Well they didnot want me I guess, 1971 lottery draft number 149, went down to the induction center Oakland, Calif, me and four other bus loads of guys, went thru all the med stations, carrying all your clothes except for your briefs ( wearing those), it was a long day, got there at 6:00 am, at 5:00 pm finally at the last senoir med officer he looked at my papers, stamped them 1-h, only in time of national emergency, I was one of three that came back that day, it was during that time when they were starting to pull out of Nam, my Dad was a Korean vet, my two uncles were WW2 vets, ( one was at Pearl Harbour when it was bombed, he was on shore at the time machinist mate, in the shop on base building new bearing plates, the other uncle was b-17 navigator over Germany ( plane name Rubble Rouser Crashed at take off in Nuess germany all survived total of 79 missions). Grandfather WW1 vet. So the history is there.
