I am adding disk brakes to my 70 C10 by putting in a 77 "K" member. I think this may add 1" to width of front. I am going to put on 6x5.5 rotors to keep 6 lugs all around.

I have heard that 15" wheels which I have hit calipers. I have also heard that some 16's hit and some don't. I have found that Mickey Thompson has a 17X9 6X5.5 with 4.5 backspacing and -12 offset. The recommended tire seems to be 245/40/17.

Anyone know if this combo would fit OK. I have stock height.

I want a taller tire. I have a LC9 and 4L65E - with my 3:73 gear is geared too low for highway but is great around town and mountains. I figures a taller tire would raise my overall ratio for highway without changing rear end.

Thanks

Thanks for comeback.

Do you happen to know of any 'mag' type wheels that would work and get me a taller tire?
