I am helping a friend sell her late husband's superb 1972 Chevy Cheyenne Super. It is a 2 owner vehicle, with only 50,175 original miles. This truck was originally purchased in Utah by the Sheriff of Virginia City, Montana. He took excellent care of the truck and then later sold to the current owners. The current owners decided to do a restoration and had the truck painted all white, instead of the original green and white two-tone.
It was ordered with about every option you could get at the time. The Factory 400 Big Block is a terrific motor, and runs like a top. The Cheyenne Super trim gives it upgraded interior creature comforts. The interior shows very nice, but there are some signs of wear on the drivers door grab handle arm rest. The carpet and headliner are perfect, and it has all new weatherstripping, door seals, etc. The paint is superb, with no orange peel. It drives really nicely, with no slop in the steering, no clunks or unpleasant noises from the drivetrain. I was very surprised at how tight and smoothly it drives.
The owner's husband passed away and she wants to see it go to a good home, and recoup some of their investment. I have done my best to present it accurately, but I am not the owner so feel free to ask any questions and I will get answers for you. I know that they said all of the trim and badging are original, and in very good condition. They felt it was better to keep the good condition original pieces than to replace with new reproduction parts. The steering column was replaced with an aftermarket column, and the wheels are aftermarket, but to my knowledge those are the only non-original items.
