I just swaped out both seals on the Saginaw box on my 69 GMC. The seal on the out put shaft or sector shaft is not bad once you have the pitman arm removed.
The input shaft seal is a little more involved since you need to remove the entire front section of the steering box, but it is not that involved.
Make sure you have a GOOD set of snap ring pliers, the sector shaft and the input shaft both have some very strong snap rings that you need to remove and re-install the new ones that should come with the kit's.
