Hi guys… newbie here.

I picked up a nice rust free 1985 C10 with 57K original miles. Always want done, but could never find a decent one without dropping big $$$. A nice one landed in my lap, wife gave green light, and she is now in the garage!

The truck had a "warm" 383 stroker dropped in it, built on a 4 bolt main block. I received a decent "story" for the previous owner, everything seems sound. He stated around 500 miles on the build, a couple years back. Hopefully it is solid.. time will tell.

The engine has a "drag racing" type oil pan, and looks like one of the seems has taken a hard wack at some point. No leaks, but it bugs the hell out of me. I plan to replace it with an oil change and once over.

Any recommendations in regard to a replacement oil pan… also, is there any concern regarding one and two piece engine variations (oil pan different for each type, or just the seals).

Depending on if the engine is built on a late model block or its a purpose built crate motor it could have a one piece seal.
If ya still can get a hold of the PO ask him if he remembers what it is and who built the motor, if its a crate motor you should be able to get a replacement from the engine builder other wise try either http://www.jegs.com/ or https://www.summitracing.com/ .
