Whats up with the easy rocking form side to side BS when stopped or parked?
Now here's what I mean by rocking from side to side I can stand at the rear wheel and push down on the bed rail and it rocks from side to side pretty easily a few times kinda like when you take the rear shocks "out" and stand & jump on the rear bumper and it bounces maybe 5 or 6 times then settles down.
I don't know if these trucks do this for no reason or its standard the way there built that they do it just because.

Here's whats been done just last week, installed rear shock re-location bracket mounts top & lowers at/in there original in board locations, new Monroe #58527 coil assist shocks, 4" lowered coil springs (from POL), NO Sway Bar Yet.

Whats up with this???????. Edited had wrong parts pictured.

I had a 69 LWB that was the same way. It was like the whole bed was lose when standing on the side of the rear bumper. I guess its because the rear had coil springs and how light it is.

Thinking the rear sway bar will stop some to MOST of the side to side rocking deal, I HOPE.

The Panhard Bar and Bushings have nothing to do with what I'm trying to explain here. The panhard bar just keeps the rear end and axle assembly square or centered to the frame.

Are the new shocks garbage?

Did you see this post?
I wanted to post this so ya'll might benefit from my experience. I used 5" CPP drop springs on my '65 C10 SWB Stepside. The ride was like a big ole Buick and the springs were so light weight that hauling anything of significant weight in my truck wasn't possible.

So I replaced the rear springs with CPP 4" drop Heavy Duty Springs. Much better ride and since they are heavy duty I can now haul more than just a couple hundred pounds of stuff :D The new springs look very similar to the OEM springs that were originally on the truck, just a couple less coils and shorter overall height.
