Got up at 2:15am, Tony picked me up at 4am, so we could sit in line for hours and get a good pit spot for the drag race. We were #43 in the gates.

This is rolling in..all the professionals teams parked to the right, probably all still sleeping as we rolled in.

This is one of those things that many don't know about drag racing...lots of waiting to pit at the big events.

That's our 40' trailer to the right. Basically a 10+ hour day just to get pitted and pull the car out. Tomorrow I leave at 6am. So get to sleep in some..3 rounds of qualifying and 1 round of elimination.

There was an issue with the car, so after 1 time run, it was decided to not run again. These cars are very expensive and very fast..Best not to push your luck!

This is our friend and fellow racer Bill's car..565 Big Block chevy. His family is the one I bought my 77 C10 from.

This is a Super Gas car(9.90 index)..belongs to Dan, whom I used to work for in the 90s. His son had the blue Brodix powered 4 speed truck seen in the cruise night post.

If you follow drag racing, you know who this is...Greg Anderson. This is just before the 1st time run.

Greg ripped off a 6.608 @ 207.11 to go to #1 spot. BUT..just after Erica Enders ripped off a 6.608 @ 209.26 to take #1 in first round qualifying.

This is another local racer that runs in our bracket. If the name sounds familiar, you may remember the TV show "Pinks: All Out". Him and Dallas Glen, (now Pro Stock driver) raced in the finals.

Qualifying round #2..Greg Anderson & Erica Enders. Greg got her this time..ripping a 6.604 to take #1 qualifier spot

Anderson’s pole position is the 119th of his career. The five-time world champion scored his 99th career Pro Stock win last season in Dallas and is looking for #100 this weekend.
