Does your truck have a C10 emblem on the fender?

You mentioned your truck was a 65 C15... Chevrolet which confused me a bit as we typically refer to them as a C10, C20, K10 or K20 based on the fender badge.

To satisfy my curiosity as to "what's a C15" I did a bit of research and found this: http://www.oldride.com/library/1966_chevrolet_c10.html

1/2 Ton - Model C14 - Series 10 - 115 in wheelbase
1/2 Ton - Model K14 - Series 10 - 115 in wheelbase
1/2 Ton - Model K14 - Series 10 - 115 in wheelbase
1/2 Ton - Model C15 - Series 10 - 127 in wheelbase
3/4 Ton - Model C25 - Series 20 - 127 in wheelbase
3/4 Ton - Model K25 - Series 20 - 127 in wheelbase
1 Ton - Model C36 - Series 30 - 133 in wheelbase
1 Ton - Model P - Series 30 - 104-137 in wheelbase

Model No. determines chassis wheel base and capacity - whereas Series only denotes capacity.

Wierd:
Why did Chevrolet badge their "Series 10" trucks as "C10"? Shouldn't they have been badged "S10"?
Now I find out I've got a "C14" and it is badged as a "C10".....

Interesting! (Well maybe just to me anim_63)
