Just wanted to drop in and say HI!!!!

So i have a 69 GMC 2 wheel drive short bed fleet side with 396 B.B. from the factory in it sitting at my dads house waiting for me to do a completer frame off restoration on it.

My Father bought it brand new in 69, and handed me the keys to drive it while i was in H.S. I gave the truck back to him once i graduated , and it has been sitting in his garage since 1985....

I am also a member of Trifive.com and a have 57 Chevy. My son is 7 years old, and i figure once he turns about 14, we will be bringing the old girl back home to my house for a father/son project, she was my first set of wheels, and she will be my sons first set of wheels

Sorry guys, the only pics i have of my dads old truck is on paper, but i will be going out to my dads house real soon, and i will fire up the old girl up and pull her out of the garage and give her some vitamin D (sunlight) and i will post up some pics for ya......

Its going to be awhile before i can bring the truck home and start working on her, but i am sure looking forward to the day i can and spend some father/son time with my son......

I pulled the numbers from the block, and (joninomader) ran them for me, she is a 360 horse motor from the factory. I am thinking of having the block bored out and cleaned up, going down to Summit and picking up a Elderbrock set of heads and intake, and a Comp cam, that should wake here up a little....

Well guys!!!!

I still have not made it out to my dads house since he is in a assisted living home now to take pics of the 69 GMC, but my wife found some old pics i had, and scanned them for me.

So this is what she looked like when i was driving her back in 1985 my senior year in H.S., and she has not changed to much since then....

I cant wait to start on this project with my little boy..
