I have recently purchased a 1966 C10 which spent most of its life as a ranch truck in central Oregon. It has been in Minnesota for about 3 or 4 years.

It is a LWB fleetside, 292 I6 engine with 4 speed transmission, 16" stock steel wheels. I pulled the carb on Saturday; it is running extremely rich, to the point of the oil smelling like gasoline. I am going to rebuild the carburetor and replace the leaky exhaust manifold gasket before re-installing the carb. It also needs a new wood bed and new seat upholstery. I will put up some photos.

Welcome to the forum rose, sounds like a neat project, we'll help you in anyway we can, sounds as if the the float/needle and seat were leaking and dumping raw fuel down into the intake manifold, it will actually syphon itself after you shut it down....post some pics when you can...!
