I have a 64 with an inline 6 / tb350 original installed. I am currently in the process of swapping to a 383 stroker / 700r4. Will the rear end handle the additional HP (I don't plan on burning rubber every time I drive but will occasionally). If I need to upgrade what would a good option be. The current rear end is a 6 lug. I'm no expert so patience is appreciated. TIA

I would think that your first concern is what gears are in the rear and how they will react with with an OD tranny.
The rear of these trucks are pretty light. What bumper do you have? But a 12 bolt is always good in these. Check to see what you have now.
Considering your original driveline you most likely have a 12 bolt with 373 gears. The rear end is plenty strong enough.
