I need to replace the Rochester 2 BBL carb on my 65 Chevy C10 with a 283 V8. I would like to stay with a 2 BBL carb, but I am open to other options. I have included some PICS of my current carb, which is working well now but the retaining brass ferrell on the throttle shaft is worn and pieces have been cracked off the fitting. Any recommendations or advise is appreciated.

the two barrel will be better with mileage but it will handle a 650 holly if you want. i had a 283 vette motor in a 63 Nova that
i switched to a two barrel back in the oil embargo days. you motor would require a manifold swap or expensive adapter.
for a daily driver i would probably stick with the two barrel.

Why not have someone rebuild it for you?
