I'm sure it's in here somewhere but I'm still trying to figure out the search. I can't find a hole in the brake backing plate to turn the star adjuster and move the shoe in so I can remove my drum. I'm sure it's something simple that I'm missing. Any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes they are in the backing plate, or the drum was replaced and the replacement did not have an access hole…usually they (shoes) are not tight, just that the drums rust themselves to the axle flange, use a two pound sledge and smack the drum on the outside edge corner will usually dislodge it.

Thanks, I'll give that a try, I guess if a two pound hammer is good a ten pound sled would be even better, right?
