More of a matter of personal preference, how low you want to go, cost.....do you plan on disc brakes, power steering....it all adds up, are you going to use this as a daily driver, use it as a truck, tow anything with it...? All questions you need to ask yourself....!

Just in stalled RideTech strongman upper and lower front arms and coilovers with CPP 2" drop spindles. When making sharp turns the outside wheel has extreme caster, seems to really push the tire. Is there an adjustment to correct this? I can't imagine the auto-cross guys race with it this way.

Trailer Towing

I have a ‘63 longbed and I plan to pull a trailer with a 400# tongue weight. Are air bags the way to go for beefing up load capacity?

Air lift used to be the big company in the day for selling overload bags that you tuck in side the coil springs...I`m sure they are still around...!

I am thinking of lowering my 68 C10 LWB with all four corners being coils. Thinking 2" front drop coils and 4" drop coils rear. Now with that being said I am thinking the two piece drive shaft and rear end angles might change for the worst. What do you all think will I need to shim a different angle shim at the rear end & trailing arm location and do you think my center carriage bearing and mounting bracket might need to be re positioned?

Thanks in advance

Shim the rear axle. The pinion will ride up about 3/5 degrees, you'll need to bring it down.

This is what I was thinking of doing for the center bearing mounting bracket. Only if the driveshaft and bearing housing rides up too close to the upper cross members hole.

Air ride or static drop????

Up in the air about what way to take it. Just got A 66 new to the site and just looking for feed back. Pros and cons I guess. Thanks
This just might take the wind out of your sails. If the Air Ride lines or the mechanical unit/s spring a LEAK your on the GROUND and maybe too low for a Tow Truck. Bags don't last forever and leaks do happen.
At least with a Static drop your not on the ground if something goes wrong. Just my personal Opinion boys and girls.
