lq9 6.0 swap?

Has anyone done a 6.0 ls swap in a 73-87 c10 and were is a good place to get a used take out engine im building a 82 c10 with bw t10 trans cant decied if i want to put my trusty 406 engine in or go for the ls 6.0 swap any info would be appreciated.bowtieb

Its a pretty easy swap or so I have seen. Adapter plate for the mounts and might have to trim the front cross member little.

But check out car-part.com look for a yard local to you on there. Then call and tell them you want a complete take out motor.

my lq4/4l80e swap in my 86 c10...got if from a local wrecking yard....$2200....very easy swap! recommend buying an aftermarket harness, it will save a lot of time and guesswork!

several websites showing how to do the pin out on wire harness, I did my own and was stressed at first but once I stopped over thinking it, it went smooth... google ls1 harness pin out

done one about a year ago under hood fuse box off a 01 gmc 5.3 4el60,kept all the the vats runs great in the 66 bbw sb fs.
