I'm about to clean up the suspension parts on my '62 and it my be a long time before I am able to reinstall them, so I need to paint the parts to protect against rust. I like the look of raw metal, so I want to clear coat right after the parts are cleaned. I know rustolium is good but it can't handle uv long term. And I'd much rather use an automotive clear coat. Duplicolour has rattle can clears, has anyone here used this? Or do you have a better suggestion for affordable clear coat?

That stuff looks like the best option, being made for bare metal. And the price doesn't seem too bad. Now I just have to find it around me, or order it online.
Thank you 406Rich
