Hi, so my c10 with 355 ci had been running fine. I have not been driving it much as I pulled the seat out to refurbish the cab, but I have been starting it regularly and re parking it on occasion and had no problems. About 6 months ago I had my 700r4 rebuilt and at the time my guy told me the mount for the tv cable was wrong and he replaced it with the proper mount. I've had no problems until last week, when taking it around the block, the engine would die when putting it into gear or when I took my foot off the gas. I also noticed antifreeze leaking into the cab. After doing some research I decided it was the heater core and after replacing it there was no more leak but still having the idle problem.
Sounds fine when I rev motor, but dies when take pedal off. Before I check for vacuum leaks (which I have never done...youtube hear i come), I was wondering if anyone was familiar with these two things happening at the same time...the failing heater core and vacuum loss?
I also was wondering if maybe the mount that was installed for the tv cable might be warped or installed wrong, although it ran fine for months after the install?
