Default Carb adapter/Choke hook up

Ok, so I have a problem, I went to install my carb, a rochester and noticed that the intake on my crate engine is a square bore, my rochester is a spread bore, what are your opinions, switch intakes to a spread bore or use an adapter, also I have a carb with a divorced choke so I am not sure how to hook up the choke or if I even can on this intake, I purchased an electric one but still not sure. If I switch intakes I was going to go with the edelbrock one, do they make one that will accept a divorced choke, I was thinking of the performer 2101, it says it will accept a late model choke, but I think that is a carb with the choke attached? What are your opinions? Thanks.

If you want the quadrajet carb buy the right intake, there is no way of hooking up a divorced choke to it period, been there done that..if you want that current intake you`ll need the correct edelbrock carb with an electric choke or a square bore holley with electric choke.
Electric choke lot less troublesome..buy a used holley or eldebrock with an electric choke off craigslist put a kit into it.

Yeah, I like my rochester, and I spent some coin getting it rebuilt and tuned, I did a little more research and it looks like the performer 2101 will work with my divorced choke. I believe that I can adapt the electric choke to work off of that correct?

2101 is the correct intake for the Electric choke ( divorced choke is the one that has the thermal spring in the intake that gets heated by engine temp ) so with the electric choke you just need to run a wire from the choke to the fuse box, tie into the one that is marked ( switched ) its on the left side of the fuse box..then its just a matter adjusting the choke dial as needed. use a rubber grommet when you run you wire thru the fire wall and use a 10 amp in line fuse.

Before you hook up the electrical to the switched post on the fuse block, use a lighted test lead to confirm that it is switched on/off by the ignition switch.
