We are transplanting a 1995 305cid TBI in place of an early 1970's sbc 350. We did the front suspension upgrade with a 1984 C10 front end. We tried fitting the engine with the 1984 engine mounts with no luck, the spread was too wide. We tried the engine mounts from the 350 that was originally installed but they hit on the 1995 exhaust manifolds. Also the manifold to exhaust pipe flanges were too wide to fit inside the frame rails back by the firewall. We still have the 350 that we took out complete with the ram's horn exhaust manifolds. I am really not interested in headers unless I absolutely have to. The problem with using the ram's horn manifolds is the necessity of the oxygen sensor for the EFI. Does anyone have any suggestions of what we can to do? We can have the oxygen sensor installed in the exhaust pipe after the manifold since a custom exhaust will be required. But any help or previous experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all very much.

Think I would do just that, sensor on the head pipe just below the ram horn and be done with it, you`ll need to remove the heat riser valve as well on the ram horn on the right side as the TBI has no provision for a heat riser. Not sure why the `84 engine mounts did not work...rather intriguing..

Default LS1 Exhaust Manifolds

I have a 1963 GMC that I am installing a LS1. I got a LS1 install kit from CPP. The cast iron exhaust manifolds exhaust toward the rear of the engine, this is in conflict with the slave cyclinder . Will the block hugger exhaust headers fit this pickup and have clearance for the clutch components ?

Default Big block headers

I have full length headers on my 71 with a 468 big block. They hang too low and are only about 3 1/2” off the ground at the collector. I heard some people use Chevelle headers because they tuck up closer to the frame. Has anyone used Chevelle headers that fit well? Part number would be nice.
